We are a family that loves so many things. Disney, movies, comic books, collecting, cooking, baking, building, Lego’s, thrifting, and trying new things. With have so much to share with you about all of these topics.
We all Foster each others idea’s and dreams. We create miracles with each and every memory and it’s the bond that makes our memories so precious.
Building Family Bonds With Lego’s Brick-By-Brick
Recently we acquired an entire trunk of Lego’s from the flea market. We got about $600.00 worth of Lego sets for the price of one, because the guy was looking to get rid of them. And as a family we worked to decipher which sets were in the box. Now, all the sets were broken up and sorted into baggies by colors, but just looking at the pieces and figures we could tell the sets that were there and the sets that were missing things. To most Lego collectors this would be a deal breaker, but for our family it was a huge score!
My oldest son does Lego stop motion animation. He is constantly using the Lego sets in so many different ways than just the castle itself per say. The background is just that the background. The main focus is the story and the figures. He is currently working on creating a portfolio to help him get into film school.
Educational Content
As many of you have, we have learned so much about school and education especially, now where both our boys are in high school. We are still learning. One of my children is currently enrolled in the Cambridge AICE program at one school and the other is currently enrolled in the International Baccelorette Program at another high school. Through the years and research we have found that each of our kids is suited for the programs that they are in. Here is where you will find information on each program and how to decideas a family between the two if given the choice.
Not only do I have information on how we came to the decision of these programs, but also have ideas and projects to work on with your younger children to help develop their thinking and learning skills. Fun family outings that are actually educational along with games that enhance there fine motor skills. All while learning to read, write, and spell. An example of this would be a family game I like to call fun in the pool! A game I invented one summer that I was babysitting a bunch of kids. This is a great way to tire them out, while they are having a blast in the pool they are learning to identify letters.
A Dedicated Disney Family
We love anything there is to do with Disney. Watched almost all of the movies, frequent the parks as passholder family and have done so many unforgettable things while making memories. I have a feeling the Disney section is going to get full fast with tips and tricks we have come to figure out. One year we even created our own family, birthday scavenger hunt through Epcot! It was so much fun! We even had cast members trying to figure out our final clue! I’ll give you a hint but, – you’ve got to use your imagination!
Comics
If it’s a superhero movie – we’ve seen it or read the comic at least. Discovering Comicon when the boys were little and it’s become one of our family traditions. So many memories of them discovering comics, art, drawing, pop culture, meeting artists, and cosplay. A family that play’s together, from what I hear that’s pretty rare now a days, but we enjoy each others company. We are our own kind of crazy I guess, but what’s the point in just going through the motions if you can’t have a little fun along the way?
