The Perfect Buttercream Frosting!

If I was ever going to own my own bakery this was going to be my logo~ I may not have a bakery yet, but maybe someday, and you can’t have a great bakery or cakery for that matter without the perfect buttercream frosting recipe!

The Versatility of the perfect buttercream frosting

This perfect buttercream frosting is my go to recipe for all my frosting needs. It is easy to master and versatile. It is not too sweet and is light and fluffy. Easily doubled or tripled to make larger batches for bigger cake projects
I have tried using different milks and with each you get a unique sweetness. My personal favorite is rice milk šŸ˜‰and it takes colors well. This truly is the perfect buttercream recipe! Hope you enjoy it with sprinkles!

I know what it’s like to have a frosting that just doesn’t work, either it’s too rich, too thick and heavy, too soft or too lumpy or is filled with air pockets. it’s such an easy thing but it’s also easy to mess up. trust me, I’ve learned from experience. This buttercream is none of those things, I promise you won’t be disappointed with this recipe.

The perfect buttercream frosting is great for creating everything you need to decorate your cakes or cupcakes. Holding true to its texture especially when creating the most delicate looking flowers.

The Perfect Buttercream

Approximate time to make – 10 minutes

Ingredients :

  • 1 Cup unsalted butter
  • 2 Tbs Coconut milk, ricemilk or reg. milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 4 cups powdered sugar (divided)

Directions :

  • Start by creaming the butter in a stand mixer with a paddle attachment. 1 cup of unsalted butter for 3 minutes.
  • Add 2 Tbls of your ideal milk choice and 1tsp vanilla extract, 2 cups of powdered sugar and scrape down the bowl.
  • Continue mixing for 2 more minutes.
  • Scrape down the bowl again, then add 2 more cups of the powdered sugar
  • Mix for the remaining 5 minutes on medium speed.
