A day of summer fun in the pool with little to no money. So, if you are lucky enough to have a pool. I have just the game for you to get your kids tired out for the day and keep you entertained. This is an old game with a new spin! Guess the word in the pool (essentially, it’s a pool version of hangman.)

Things you’ll need to set up pool fun while learning!
- 4 pool noodles (any color is fine) keep it budget friendly you can find them at dollar tree
- A large dry erase board
- Dry eraser & dry erase markers
- Thick black sharpie
- Scissors
Directions to create
Cut the pool noodle about every 4-6 inches and write a letter on them (large). Make sure every letter is there for a total of 26 letters. Give each child a pool noodle because this gets tiring. Throw all the lettered noodles into the pool. Have the kids stand on the steps so they can get a good jump in and scatter all the letters. This makes it so much more fun in the pool because they are spreading the letters. So they are in a sense in control of how easy or how difficult this game will be.
The adult monitoring the pool safety sits by the dry erase board and draws out the hang man and creates the word the child needs to figure out. The word does not need to be difficult something simple works (like DOG.) The child gets one chance to jump off the step go find a letter to see if it’s one of the letters on the board. If it is on the board, they get another turn but only 2 times in a row because as I said it does get tiring. So, make sure your child has swimmies or a noodle to hang on to, or a life jacket to help keep them afloat. If the letter they chose is not on the board to help create the word, then it is the next child’s turn.
